PRESS RELEASE: The Home Town Hero Project Selects BLM Technologies As Its Digital Signage Media Solutions Partner

Wednesday, April 29, 2015

PLYMOUTH, MN – April 29, 2015: The Home Town Hero Project has selected BLM Technologies to launch a new digital media solution across their existing network. This solution will enable the Home Town Hero Project to increase awareness and continue to educate the general public about the veterans who have served on our nation’s behalf by promoting the values of duty, honor, sacrifice and patriotism. This cost effective implementation of BLM’s digital media solution will streamline the management and add flexibility to content delivery of the Home Town Hero Project’s existing digital media network as well as their projected growth to over 1000 additional locations in the next 18 months.

The Home Town Hero Project features the Veterans News Network (VNN), a digital production with tributes to local Veterans from any military branch. These productions include tributes that feature articles on each soldier’s accomplishments along his/her photo, Military Trivia, and other Veteran-related content.  Heroes are Veterans, recently discharged or active duty military persons who have made some significant achievement in the service of our country. Digital displays are located throughout the high-traffic areas of each post, and the Home Town Hero Project is currently partnered with over 600 Veteran Service Organizations and select businesses in 40+ states.

In today’s fast-paced world, digital media is an eye-catching, technologically and economically superior way of getting dynamic messages out to consumers. BLM Technologies delivers best-in-class hardware and software solutions partnering with industry leading manufacturers. Our proven and complete bundled solution includes system design, hardware, software, installation, ongoing maintenance and vendor/inventory management. But flexibility is key; BLM Technologies also works with a client’s existing system or partnerships to maximize return on investment and system uptime.

“In our industry, we are the leading provider of Veteran-related content to Veterans Service Organizations across the nation. Almost 2000 tributes have been compiled and thousands of Veterans, family and friends see our displays at hundreds of locations” said, Howard Ireland, Project Manager for the Home Town Hero Project, “So, for quite some time now, we’ve been interested in a viable solution that delivers and manages content with ease of use for real time updates. BLM Technologies digital media solution meets these requirements.”

“It’s an honor to be a part of the Home Town Hero Project because it allows BLM Technologies to get involved and show support for our American patriots.” said Chris Vargas, Director of Sales, Western US Region for BLM Technologies, “Through our digital media solutions we offer cost effective and reliable delivery of their content allowing them to focus on their mission of community support of veteran programs.”
